It’s in brilliant condition, quite amazing to find climbs that I now find hard down at the severe grade…..this is before cams, dynamic ropes, amazing rock shoes, modern wires……wow.
I just bought my first ever rock-climbing guide book – it’s an out of print one for the north in general. I bought it as I’ve been asked to lead a meet of our club to a limestone quarry I’ve had my eye on for ages in NW Cumbria 🙂

It’s limestone and is ‘trad’ although there are stakes along the top of the quarry – no bolting on the face though

Just had a look, it looks good, the whole thing could be climbed in a day 🙂

Plus there’s another quarry about 5 miles away with a few more climbs on it!
